Kyle Aughe Kyle is the primary lead vocalist and songwriter in Dulahan. With an extensive acoustic folk driven musical background he performed with the country-folk band Green River in the mid 1970’s in the Dayton area. He later founded the country rock band Bramble, which was known for their fusion of acoustic instruments (guitar and piano) with the traditional electric and steel guitars of the 70’s combined with strong 2- and 3-part harmonies delivered in their unique style. Dulahan continues in this vein, using only traditional Celtic acoustic instruments and adding the driving harmonies that give them their own singular voice. Kyle’s songwriting dominates the flavor of the band's sound, drawing on a variety of Celtic influences from the Clancy’s and the Irish Rovers to Andy Stewart and Old Blind Dogs. |
