Tony Williams Tony was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and comes from a very musical family. His father is a longtime bassist and high tenor singer, his mother sang gospel music in local churches, and an uncle was a successful producer in Nashville in the 1970’s. Tony’s first instrument were the drums he began playing at the age of 14. In his late teens it became apparent that piano and vocals were where he felt most at home. His distinctive piano style and trademark tenor vocal have always been a strength in the various groups he has performed with over the years. In the late 1970’s and early 80’s Tony teamed with Kyle in the band Bramble that, like Dulahan, featured strong original music with driving vocal harmonies. After leaving Bramble, Tony spent the next 20 plus years touring with a variety of regional and national acts including Billy Crash Craddock, The Vandells and Yankee Grey. Tony’s the newest member of the band and his acclimation to Dulahan’s contemporary Celtic sound has been seamless as he is able to draw on his considerable musical influences and styles, along with his love of harmony singing and original music to add his stamp to Dulahan’s progressive sound. Tony has lived in Bangkok Thailand for the past several years and in 2010 returned to the area to be near family. Tony lives in Dayton with his 2 sons Vinson and Zachariah. |
