Under The Table

Let me tell you a story,

it starts like a fable

once upon a time

put her under the table

She saw me Irish cap

and me wool Aran jumper

knowing I was Irish she handed me porter

Saying I'll drink you under

before night is over

Bring shots of whiskey

and wild Irish porter

It'll go down with ease

for as long as you're able

Tonight I'm gonna drink you

under the table

Four shots and pints later

we're still goin' strong

My head it was funny

but I'd prove her wrong

She starts to stagger,

I'm still holding on

The whiskey, the Guinness

we're far beyond gone

CHORUS

Five hours later

we're still throwing back

My head it was funny

God I was a wreck

After twelve pints of Guinness

and more drams of whiskey

Me mother fell down

she was far beyond tipsy

I beat me dear Ma

my day it had come

We had to stumble all the way home

CHORUS
